Contract for Success

Effective schools are a result of families and school staff working together to ensure that children are successful in school. The purpose of this contract is to communicate a common understanding of home and school responsibilities to assure that every student attains high standards and quality education.

As a parent/guardian I pledge to:

• Expect good grades and good behavior from my child.
• Make sure my child attends school daily and arrives on time.
• Attend school functions and student-parent-teacher conferences.
• Talk with my child about his/her school activities each day.
• Encourage good study habits and completion of homework assignments.
• Work with my child a minimum of four hours per month, with at least one hour spent at school.

As a teacher I pledge to:

• Expect good grades and good behavior from my students.
• Be the best teacher and leader I can be.
• Communicate often with students and parents.
• Hold four student-parent-teacher conferences.
• Provide a safe, pleasant and caring classroom.
• Involve parents in school activities.

As a student I pledge to:

• Do my best in class.
• Do my homework.
• Talk about school with my parents.
• Have a positive attitude and show respect.
• Come to school ready to work and learn.
• Follow school and classroom rules.
